LATE SUMMER START PLAN FOR PRESCOT BUSINESS PARK
Work will begin later this summer on the first phase of development at Prescot Business Park, in Prescot, Knowsley, where St Modwen Properties PLC is creating 215,000 sq ft of light industrial and business floorspace on the 12-acre former site of BICC Pyrotenax industrial complex which was acquired and remediated by Knowsley Council to create a new and attractive employment area.
The site, which is being developed in partnership with Knowsley Council, is close to the town centre but with easy access to the M57 via Junction 2.
Detailed planning consent has been granted for the first phase 50,000 sq ft of light industrial managed workspace where units will range from 850 sq ft to 17,000 sq ft. together with a 50,000 sq ft business village comprising six individual business space buildings arranged around two courtyards from 1,100 sq ft. to 6,000 sq ft available individually or in suites.
St Modwen will be implementing the development in three phases and it is estimated that the completed scheme will generate approximately 585 jobs.
