Littlewoods to relocate delivery service to Trentham Lakes

Business Express, the Littlewoods-owned home delivery company, is the latest business to agree terms with Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration Ltd, the joint venture vehicle between St Modwen Properties PLC and Stoke-on-Trent City Council, to relocate to the 400-acre Trentham Lakes development in Stoke.

Business Express is relocating its home shopping delivery service from the Mount Pleasant area of Stoke to new and larger 37,135 sq ft facilities at Trentham Lakes which will be completed at the beginning of September.

Euan Lindsay of St Modwen said: “The building is being constructed next to the building taken by Firmin Coates and means that more than 950, 000 sq ft of employment space has been, or is now being constructed at Trentham Lakes. Business Express’s relocation will ensure jobs will be protected for the local area.”

Colin Middlemiss of Business Express, said: “Home shopping is a growth area with more and more people wanting the convenience of having goods delivered to the doorstep. As a result, our current depot was becoming too small. We are delighted that we are able to stay in Stoke and look forward to moving into our new premises.”
