LOCKING PARKLANDS GOES TROPICAL WITH NEW SHOWHOME

It seems the recent heatwave is set to continue thanks to the new tropical-themed Showhome at Locking Parklands, less than five miles from Weston-super-Mare.

Marking the next milestone in the delivery of the current phase of 166 homes at Locking Parklands, St. Modwen Homes has opened the doors to two new Showhomes at the development; a three bedroom Maple house and a two bedroom Beech property.

Boasting pops of green and coral shades throughout, as well as palm and bird covered wall paper, parrot shaped lamps and pineapple sculptures, the interior design of the Beech Showhome transports you to faraway places. Perfect for first time buyers, the property has two double bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and an open plan living room and dining room with French doors leading to the rear garden.

In comparison, the three bedroom Maple Showhome has been decorated with relaxing grey and white tones throughout, with interest and depth created by using different textures, including tie-dye wallpaper, and industrial-inspired furniture. One of the stand-out rooms is the bright and airy living room that, as well as a large walk-in bay window, boasts a high ceiling, helping to create the feeling of space and openness. With touches of luxury throughout, the master bedroom boasts both an en suite and a balcony, while the open plan dining and kitchen room comes with designer fitted appliances as standard, making it perfect for entertaining.

Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We take great pride in the design of our new homes and have created 13 bespoke house types – including the Maple and Beech – that have been designed purely for this current phase at Locking Parklands. Testament to the hard work that’s been put in, more than 80% of purchasers in this phase have said that the design of our homes is the main reason why they chose to buy at Locking Parklands.

“Opening two new Showhomes is incredibly exciting as it’s the first opportunity people have to walk around some of our new house types and get a feel of what their new home could be like. It’s also a chance for people to get an idea of the latest interior design trends; whether they prefer brighter, tropical furnishings or more calming surroundings.”

Being developed over a 20 year period, Locking Parklands is a £400m mixed-use project that will deliver a total of 1,450 homes. It will also comprise 80 acres of landscaped parkland and around 650,000 sq ft of planned employment space. Since phased development work first began on site in 2010, St. Modwen has provided 250 new homes and 6,000 sq ft of office space with the potential to create 50 new jobs.

Since launching its current phase of 166 homes last month, St. Modwen Homes has sold six properties from plan; demonstrating the confidence local homebuyers have in the development.

Prices for the new homes start from £275,995 for a three bedroom property and all the homes are available to purchase under the Government’s Help to Buy scheme which allows people to buy a home with a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by an equity loan.

St. Modwen Homes is the housebuilding brand of St. Modwen and currently has 14 active sites across the UK, ranging from Radley Park just outside Liverpool to Glan Llyn in South Wales and St. Andrew’s Park in Greater London.
