St. Modwen Homes is giving Cupid a run for his money this Valentine’s as not one, but two couples have got engaged whilst purchasing a home at the housebuilder’s Gregorys Bank development on St Georges Lane North in Worcester.

Rather than being one of the most stressful times of their lives for Adam Jackson and Cassy Bramley, and Dean Swingler and Cia Duckworth, buying a new home proved to be an extremely romantic occasion.

Both couples decided upon purchasing a home at Gregorys Bank as they believed it was the perfect place to settle down and think about starting a family – with both Adam and Dean popping the question during the house-buying process.

Adam, who purchased an ‘Earl’ four bedroom house type, said: “Getting engaged had always been on the cards and when we purchased our new house I couldn’t think of any reason not to ask Cassy to marry me as well. What’s more, we’re expecting our first child in just a few weeks so it really is a magical time for us.

“The house itself is really light and spacious and, as soon as we walked through the door, we could imagine it being our family home. There’s already a great community feel at the development with a number of other couples also expecting a child.

“Alison in the sales team was great and made the process completely stress-free. Strangely, we’d met before as Cassy and I had previously purchased a property from her at a different development!”

Previously on the hunt for an older property, first time buyers, Dean and Cia were swayed towards a new-build home after viewing the ‘Duke’ three bedroom house type at Gregorys Bank.

Dean said: “We were walking along the canal when we first saw Gregorys Bank, which is located just next to the canal, and we immediately liked the unique feel of the development and the fact that each house had different design characteristics. What’s great is that our new home actually overlooks the canal too.

“Looking for a house encouraged me to pop the question to Cia and we’re now busy planning our future in our new home.”

Bev Hall, sales and marketing director at St. Modwen Homes said: “It’s fantastic to see so many couples choose Gregorys Bank as a place to settle down or start a new family, and it’s even better when we see so many new friendships being created amongst our new homeowners. I’d like to congratulate both Adam and Cassy and Dean and Cia on their recent engagements, and wish them much happiness in their new home.”
