Major improvements in Ash Green roundabout
St Modwen Properties PLC is about to commence £500,000 major improvements to Ash Green roundabout at the entrance to its Trentham Gardens estate.
The works are required for both the Trentham Lakes regeneration scheme being carried out by Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration, and the Trentham Gardens restoration being undertaken by Trentham Leisure.
Works are planned for completion in the autumn and mainly comprise enlarging the existing roundabout to serve the new developments. A detailed traffic management plan has been prepared to minimise disruption at peak times.
The entrance to Trentham Gardens will be kept open at all times to serve the current activities including the golf driving range, antique and computer fairs, car boot sales and major events such as the Staffordshire University annual awards and Stoke In Steam.
Mike Herbert, Director of St Modwen, said: “This is another major piece of infrastructure being provided on the back of our ongoing development pipeline. From the Festival Park flyover onwards, we have contributed millions of pounds to enhancing roads and the provision of public transport in North Staffordshire. It is an integral element of our regeneration activity and one which we take very seriously.”
