NEW HOUSING PLANNED FOR CLEVEDON

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has this month submitted an outline planning application for up to 200 new dwellings and approximately 1.2 hectares of employment space in Kenn, Clevedon.

Mark Thorne, Planning Manager at St. Modwen, explains:

“Given the close proximity to junction 20 of the M4, we believe that the site represents a suitable and sustainable opportunity to deliver a significant contribution towards housing needs in this area. An application has therefore been made to North Somerset District Council for a residential-led, mixed-use scheme which would provide much needed market and affordable housing for the Kenn and Clevedon area, which retains approximately 3 acres of land for potential employment uses.

The scheme design will include transport, drainage and flood risk, landscape and visual, ecological and economic assessments.

We hope to receive a decision from the Local Authority towards the end of the year.”
