Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration Ltd, the joint venture vehicle formed by St Modwen Properties PLC and Stoke City Council, is planning to develop 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) of offices adjacent to Trentham Business Centre on its 400-acre Trentham Lakes development.
A planning application has been submitted and a local IT firm is already in discussions to occupy a 743 sq m (8,000 sq ft) building in phase one which will be ready next August.
Alastair Smith of St Modwen, said: “We plan to build two high quality traditional brick office buildings of 743 sq m (8,000 sq ft ) and 557 sq m (6,000 sq ft) in the first phase. The remainder of the plot will accommodate about a further 1,579 sq m (17,000 sq ft) and the configuration will depend very much on the occupier.
“Trentham Business Centre and the adjacent Imex small unit scheme have established this area as a recognised out-of-town office location in Stoke, and we are building on that success.”
Daniel & Hulme of Stoke and Insignia Richard Ellis of Birmingham are joint agents for the development.
