St. Modwen has seen a successful start to 2010 at its Henley Park Industrial Estate near Guildford. The UK’s leading regeneration specialists has signed a deal with Mar-Key-Mar-Quays Ltd – the second transaction for the Mar Quay Hire company at Henley Park following the completion of a deal to take 10,000 sq ft at the end of last year. The new deal sees the company take a further 5,665 sq ft at the site.

Henley Park consists of two distinct parts. A value-for-money managed industrial estate of 215,000 sq ft formed from the subdivision of the former Vokes factory and a new business park of 95,600 sq ft which was built on vacant land adjacent to the former factory, which St. Modwen acquired in 2002.

Nick Kay, development director at St. Modwen, said: “This is a great start to 2010 for Henley Industrial Estate with the completion of this deal with Mar-Key-Mar-Quays Ltd. They have recognised the excellent value and flexible terms available at the site and we are delighted to have completed this latest letting with their team”.

“2009 was a particularly successful year for Henley Park. Only one unit of 5,500 sq ft remains available on the new business park following our letting of 40,000 sq ft of space in the last quarter of the year. The industrial estate also continues to attract occupiers on “easy in, easy out” terms with all lettings geared around a target to demolish and comprehensively redevelop the estate in October 2011. Obtaining a reserved matters planning consent for this next phase of 215,000 sq ft was undoubtedly another significant achievement in 2009 for Henley Park.”
