St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has submitted a planning application to redevelop the Young Street car park at Waterdale Shopping Centre.
The proposed development includes plans for a two storey building, incorporating 11,000 sq ft of ground floor retail space and a further 11,000 sq ft of space on the first floor, planned for a variety of uses, including office, leisure and restaurants.
Richard Bannister, Regional Manager at St. Modwen, said: “The proposed redevelopment of the Young Street car park builds on the success of recent lettings. The vast majority of units on Kingsgate are now let, which is a positive sign of regeneration at Waterdale Shopping Centre and this area of Doncaster.”
The plans are part of St. Modwen’s ongoing investment in the Centre, designed to create a more vibrant and attractive retail and leisure environment.
Refurbishment of the underground car park at Waterdale Shopping Centre and optimising of the Princegate car park will provide existing users of the Young Street car park with safe and secure parking alternatives.
