PLANNING APPROVED FOR FURTHER HOMES AT ST. LEONARDS

The UK’s leading regeneration specialist St. Modwen has been granted planning permission to provide a further 280 homes at its St. Leonards Avenue development in Stafford.

Following a public exhibition last year, Stafford Borough Council has granted St. Modwen planning permission to provide the new units in addition to the 200 that have already been delivered at the development.

The first phase of 85 homes is detailed, including 1-5 bedroom properties, and work on this next phase is anticipated to start in early 2018.

Ian Romano, Development Director at St. Modwen, said: “The feedback from the public exhibition was useful in finalising details before submitting our planning application for the next phase of homes at St. Leonards.

“Our continued development in the area represents significant investment in Stafford, creating much-needed new homes for local people.”

The 74-acre site was purchased in 2002 and was let to Alstom who are now in the process of relocating off site. Following which the residential plans will be built out in phases.
