Planning consent granted for Widnes apartments

Sixteen apartments are to be developed adjoining the new Asda store at Alfred Court, Widnes.

Planning consent for the scheme has been granted to Widnes Regeneration, the joint company between St Modwen Properties PLC and Halton Borough Council, which is now marketing the scheme to local residential developers.

Paul Batho of St Modwen, said: “We are very pleased with the level of interest expressed in the proposed apartments. A start is expected to be made on the Alfred Court development early next year.”
