Pupils at Locking Parklands’ new on-site Preschool – Locking Parklands Preschool – have been using role play to explore the world of construction. This is thanks to educational toys and outfits donated by the development’s land owner, St. Modwen, to celebrate the Preschool’s recent opening.
Ian Guy, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen, said: “We welcome Locking Parklands Preschool to its new home at Locking Parklands. It is one of the first occupiers for the site’s Radio Wing Community Centre, which enjoyed £350,000 in renovation work late last year, to transform the site’s former St. Andrews Chapel into a modern new community facility. When we heard that the pupils needed some new educational toys, we were pleased to be able to help out.”
Rebecca Taylor, Preschool Consultant, added: “We are very fortunate St Modwen are supporting the local children and donating the construction resources to our new setting. A valuable resource, and a fantastic edition for the children to use and explore. Who knows – they might even inspire children to be future construction experts. We are extremely proud to have opened our second provision at Locking Parklands in April of this year. Our first provision, Locking Preschool has been open for the past 49 years and received an Ofsted Outstanding grade in January. We are looking forward to building another outstanding provision for the local community at The Radio Wing where we inspire children to learn, laugh and grow.”
