St. Modwen, one of the UK’s leading developers, is inviting members of the public to a consultation event regarding its proposals for land off Ravenstone Road, Coalville.

St. Modwen is proposing a sustainable scheme of around 200 new high quality family homes on the 17 acre site. It seeks to respond to the recognised shortage of housing land in North West Leicestershire District. The proposed development will also include provision of affordable housing, public open space, pedestrian walkways and a children’s play area.

The public consultation will be held on Monday 14th November from 4pm – 8pm at Stenson Room, Snibston Discovery Museum, Ashby Road, Coalville, Leicestershire LE67 3LN.

Residents and interested parties will be able to see an exhibition of the proposed housing development and provide their feedback. Members of the St. Modwen project team will also be on-hand to answer questions people may have.

Richard Hickman, Planning Manager for St. Modwen, said: “Coalville is identified as one of the main towns in the District, and the District has a recognised shortage of housing. We have brought together a high quality, sustainable development of family housing on land which we own off Ravenstone Road.

“Consulting with the public is an important part of the pre-planning process. We hope members of the public will attend this consultation and give us their comments and feedback on the proposals before we submit a planning application to North West Leicestershire District Council.”
