PUBLIC CONSULTATION FOR PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT TO THE SOUTH OF BRANSTON VILLAGE, BURTON-ON-TRENT

A public consultation event was held on June 15th for a proposed development to the south of Branston Village, Burton-on-Trent.

Bounded by the A38 and the River Trent, the draft proposals include the creation of up to 650 new homes in a variety of sizes, plus the development of new employment space, including industrial and storage/distribution units.  Over 60 per cent of the site will be open space for recreational use, while enhancing and extending the existing public footpaths and links to the Trent Valley Way are also proposed.

The consultation event was part of the pre-planning process and following input from the local residents, St. Modwen will work towards delivering a scheme that will be of benefit to both the local community and wider regional economy.
