READY STEADY STORE POISED FOR NEW YEAR OPENING AT DONCASTER
St Modwen¹s Leeds office has handed over a 37,000 sq ft self-storage unit for Ready Steady Store, on a two-acre site next to Wheatley Hall Retail Centre, Doncaster, within 11 months of discussions commencing between the parties.
The pace at which this building has been procured is testament to a focussed and pragmatic approach by all involved, said Nigel Cunis, of St Modwen¹s Leeds office..
³We had our first meeting with Ready Steady Store during the first week of the New Year and construction started in April with practical completion this month, ³ he added. ³Fit-out , including extending the premises to 75,000 sq ft with the addition of mezzanine space, began last month and the firm expect to be open for trading by the end of January.²
The two-acre site was part of a larger complex acquired by St Modwen from Invensys plc in a portfolio acquisition and was created as a development opportunity by re-negotiating the lease to Tyco of the remainder of the complex.
Knight Frank acted for St Modwen.
