Regeneration Specialist Delivers Health & Safety Talks to Local School
Over 30 children from Melin Junior School in Neath had the chance to learn about the health and safety dangers associated with an active building site over the last two weeks. Naomi Boast, Site Engineer and Kevin Whittingham, Senior Construction Manager, from Vinci Construction UK delivered the talk on behalf of St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist. The presentation covered important safety topics such as site machinery, site dangers, protective wear and safety equipment. The presentation was followed up by a site visit to St. Modwen’s Swansea University Bay Campus where the children were able to see an active construction site in development. Melin Junior Primary School is near two of St. Modwen developments in South Wales, including St. Modwen’s £450m Bay Campus in Swansea, and its £1bn plus community development at Coed Darcy.
