SANDBEDS TRADING ESTATE ACHIEVES FULL OCCUPANCY FOLLOWING NEW LEASE
Sandbeds Trading Estate in Ossett is now fully occupied, after St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, agreed a ten year lease with Dale Hardware on an additional 26,500 sq ft newly refurbished industrial unit.
Dale Hardware is one of the UK’s leading distributors of high quality architectural and builders’ hardware to companies including Grafton Plc and Fortis Buying Group. The company was established in Ossett over 30 years ago and already has a 22,000 sq ft property at Sandbeds. The additional space they have taken at Sandbeds will give them a total of 48,500 sq ft of space, enabling the company to further expand the business and increase stock without having to relocate the business.
Since acquiring the 88,500 sq ft Sandbeds Trading Estate, which is a mix of detached and semi-detached industrial and warehouse units, St. Modwen has invested significantly in a comprehensive refurbishment programme.
Chris Gorse, Managing Director at Dale Hardware, said: “Sandbeds Trading Estate is in a great location, with excellent transport links. This unit strengthens our presence in Ossett and supports our plans to grow the business. The team at St. Modwen were very straightforward to work with and took a proactive approach to meeting our needs.”
Rob Richardson, Asset and Development Manager at St. Modwen, commented: “We strongly believe in engaging directly with businesses to ensure we are able to understand and meet their requirements. We worked closely with Dale Hardware to make sure that the unit was fit for purpose and supported their growth plans. The fact that the site is now fully occupied clearly supports our philosophy of investing in providing high quality refurbished space and is an indication of the improving market in the region as a whole.”
Sandbeds Trading Estate is now home to a range of national and local businesses including Bridgestone, FG3 and Wholesale Glass.
