SOFT SHOE COMPANY STEPS INTO MELTON PARK

St Modwen Properties PLC has pre-sold a 6,000 sq ft industrial unit on its Melton Park mixed-use development at North Ferriby, Hull, to Soft Shoe Company.

It is the fourth of 15 speculatively developed units that have been pre-sold on the 116-acre site where 75,000 sq ft of industrial space as well as 25,000 sq ft of office space is being developed in the first phase.

Nigel Cunis of St Modwen, said: “The early sales have boosted our confidence in this speculative scheme. There is a wide breadth of interest in the remaining units, all of which will be completed in March.”

Mark Clarkson of Soft Shoe Company said: “We are delighted to be re-locating our offices and warehousing to Melton Park. It is the ideal location in which to grow the business, offering a pleasant working environment for our staff and superb motorway access.

” We intend to increase our store numbers from nine at present, to fifteen in the next five years with merchandising, warehousing and distribution all being managed from Melton.”
