SPECULATIVE BUILDING BOUYANT AT ACCESS 18 AS DEMAND FOR MORE COMMERCIAL SPACE GROWS

The next phase of speculative building is underway at Access 18, in Avonmouth, as land owner and developer, St. Modwen, gears up to release an additional 117,000 sq ft of industrial and warehousing space onto the market in the second half of 2017.

This additional commercial space is being developed to provide a choice of 14 industrial units with floor space ranging from 5,000 through to 15,800 sq ft and will cater for a wide range of occupier size requirements.  Its completion later this year will help to satisfy the pent-up demand in the local area for more industrial and distribution space as well as create opportunity to attract over 200 more jobs for the local area.

Pete Davies, Senior Development Manager South West, for the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, explains:

“Avonmouth, as with much of the South West, remains a very popular choice for production and distribution organisations looking to expand and grow their operations and we are continuing with our speculative building programme across our key commercial sites in the area to meet this market demand.”

Access 18 is being delivered in phases.  It is already home to 12 companies, including big names such as Kent Foods, Hermes Parcelnet Ltd and Budget Greetings Cards. A key commercial development for the South West, Access 18 has the potential to provide in excess of 2,200 more jobs in total.

The new speculative units are available for sale or rent and interested occupiers can contact St. Modwen joint agents, Alder King or Knight Frank.
