St Modwen acquires Worcester land for £3.15 mil.
St Modwen Properties PLC has acquired 20.46 acres at Nunnery Way, Worcester, for £3.15 million to add to its hopper of development opportunities.
The land is strategically located with close access to M5 Junctions 6 and 7, and was bought from the Nunnery Way Partnership and the Thomas family. It is earmarked for long term commercial development.
The City of Worcester Local Plan identifies the land as being a potential relocation site for Worcester City Football Club with whom St Modwen has been having detailed discussions, together with enabling commercial development.
Julie Rossiter of St Modwen said: “This is another strategic acquisition in Worcester where we have had a long tradition of investment and development involvement, being the birthplace of part of the business which led to St Modwen’s creation. We will now prepare a masterplan for the site and then seek planning approval.”
St Modwen already owns a number of industrial estates in Worcester and has recently submitted a planning application for a new business park on the Tolladine Goods Yard site which it purchased last year.
