ST. MODWEN CREATES HUNDREDS OF EXTRA FREE CAR PARKING SPACES AT TRENTHAM ESTATE

St. Modwen is laying out hundreds of new free car parking spaces at its award winning Trentham Estate to cater for rapidly growing visitor numbers.

Over 320 newly surfaced spaces will be provided at the Shopping Village car park, almost all of which will be ready for the start of the school summer holidays on 21st July.

The parking boost has also seen the relocation and improvement of 12 existing disabled spaces within the main car park, alongside newly allocated parent with child parking.

Mike Herbert, Director of The Trentham Estate, said: “The improved car parking facilities on an area of previously unsurfaced overspill parking will improve access and parking significantly and follows another record breaking year at Trentham Estate in 2014. More than half a million visits were made to the Gardens alone, with 480,000 visiting the Gardens plus around 50,000 coming to the wide range of concerts, charity and other special events. Including the Shopping Village and other attractions, over 3 million visits are made to Trentham each year.

“Now even more people will be able to come and enjoy all that Trentham Estate has to offer – from the famous Gardens, to Trentham Garden Centre and over 60 shops, cafes and restaurants. Later this year will also see the opening of Joe’s Kitchen, a vibrant restaurant from leading chain, The Restaurant Group.”

Since 2003, St. Modwen, the UK’ leading regeneration specialist, has delivered the £100 million restoration and regeneration of the Trentham Estate. It now offers one of the UK’s most diverse days out with a range of leisure activities for all ages.
