ST. MODWEN GETS GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW HOMES AT PARK VIEW, LONGBRIDGE

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has been given the green light to develop 19 more homes at its sought after Park View residential development on Lickey Road, Longbridge.

Built by St. Modwen Homes, the new properties will form an extension to the first phase of Park View – where only two of the 113 homes now remain for sale since the development’s launch just over a year ago.

Construction is due to begin this month on the new phase which will boast a mixture of individually designed two and three bedroomed detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, all of which will benefit from allocated parking and landscaping.

The Park View development benefits from a prime position – it is situated off the tree lined Lickey Road and is close to the 135 acre Cofton Park, which dates back to the Georgian era. It is also part of St. Modwen’s £1 billion Longbridge regeneration scheme which is fast becoming a thriving residential, retail and business community. The £66 million Bournville College, £5 million ‘The Factory’ youth centre and Longbridge Technology Park are up and running and work is underway on the £70 million town centre featuring a Sainsbury’s supermarket, 75 bedroom Premier Inn hotel, cafes, bars and restaurants and the £2 million urban Austin Park.

Richard Hickman, Planning Manager at St. Modwen, said: “These new homes will provide much needed housing and the residents will also be among the first to benefit from the new facilities being delivered at our transformation of Longbridge.”

Neil Simpson, sales and marketing director at St. Modwen Homes, added: “With the phenomenal sales success of the first phase of Park View we are delighted to be able to build some more houses to help meet the growing demand for new homes in Longbridge. Park View has proved particularly popular with people living in the local area.”

Launched in 2011 Park View was St. Modwen Homes’ first residential site in the UK and its success has led the Birmingham-based developer to acquire further sites across the country, including Locking Parklands near Weston-super-Mare, Wembley Central in London and Littlecombe in Dursley, Worcestershire.
