St Modwen granted consent for Birchley Island offices development
St Modwen Developments Ltd has been granted detailed planning consent for two three-storey office buildings totalling 7,200 sq m (77,500 sq ft) at Birchley Island alongside Junction 2 M5 in Sandwell, West Midlands.
The development of this landmark site immediately adjoining the M5 will complement the other occupiers including Centrica, Holiday Inn Express, McDonalds and Toys’R’ Us.
Ian Romano of St Modwen said: “Birchley Island is an important gateway site in Sandwell with excellent transport links. Our scheme provides high quality space with good car parking immediately adjoining the M5 and will further enhance this ideal strategic business location by complementing the existing uses there.”
