ST. MODWEN HANDS OVER UNITS TO HEREFORDSHIRE & WORCESTERSHIRE GROUP TRAINING ASSOCIATION

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has completed its handover of two buildings totalling 15,000 sq ft to Herefordshire & Worcestershire Group Training Association Ltd, at its Great Western Business Park development in Worcester.

The training company was drawn to the site’s excellent location, just off Tolladine Way, less than a mile from Worcester city centre and close to J6 and 7 of the M5 corridor, which provides excellent connections to local and regional strategic transport networks.

The new tailored facility will enable HWGTA to provide training for several hundred learners each year at all levels, including Higher Apprenticeships.

Jonathan Green, Senior Development Surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “We’re pleased to be handing over the facility to Herefordshire & Worcestershire Group Training Association at Great Western Business Park, which offers an ideal location for their business with its proximity to Worcester city centre and the motorway network.”

Duane Sanger, Chief Executive at HWGTA, said: “We are very pleased at how quickly the buildings have gone up and the progress of the internal fit out work. The buildings will be fully operational by August 2017, in readiness for the new cohorts of apprentices to start in September. With investment from the Worcestershire LEP as part of the Growth Deal and Worcester City Council, we now have a facility that is fit for purpose, meeting the needs of local employers. With an additional mezzanine floor being added to the buildings, we will have circa 21,000 sq ft to deliver training in Engineering, Accountancy, Business Administration, Customer Service and Leadership & Management.”

Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “It’s great to hear that the handover has been completed. We’ve invested £950,000 of Government’s Growth Deal funds into this new specialist facility as we know how positive the impact will be in raising the skills of the local workforce and I look forward to seeing the facility officially open later this year.”

The third phase of development has now been completed at Great Western Business Park offering a further 50,000 sq ft of prime space.

This phase consists of six units ranging from 6,000 to 31,000 sq ft in and has been built in response to ongoing demand from businesses seeking new warehouse and light industrial space in the Worcester area.

Occupiers at Great Western Business Park include Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery; car parts and accessories distributor Euro Car Parts; additive manufacturers Materials Solutions; vehicle and wearable technology distributor Nemesis GB; self-storage company Storage King and Altaras International, providers of precision components. Later this year a new Travis Perkins builders merchants will be opening on site.

As a secure, managed estate, the development benefits from 24 hour CCTV monitoring, gated access and ample parking.
