St Modwen in £2 million development at Walsall Enterprise Park

St Modwen Developments Ltd, the development subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, has been given the planning go-ahead for a £2 million speculative industrial scheme on its Walsall Enterprise Park.

Construction of the scheme which comprises two buildings of 1,393 sq m (15,000 sq ft) and 1,928 sq m (20,750 sq ft), capable of being split into two and three units respectively, starts this month. St Modwen acquired the 20-acre site at Pleck from Lattice Properties in 1999.

Nick Kay of St Modwen, said: “We have had some difficulties in resolving planning issues on this site but these have now been sorted out. With this scheme launched we are confident in our ability to achieve a rolling programme of developments, either speculatively or for specific occupier requirements.”
