ST MODWEN LAUNCHES  NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE INDUSTRIAL SCHEME TO MEET GROWING DEMAND

A speculative development of some 100,000 sq ft of  industrial and distribution space is to begin this month  at  St Modwen Developments’ Centre 500 scheme at Wolstanton, Newcastle-under-Lyme with Bluestone as
the building contractor.

The scheme will provide buildings ranging from 2,250 sq ft to 38,000 sq ft and totalling 93,500 sq ft, which will be ready for occupation at the end of August. They will be available both to owner occupiers and tenants.

Andrew Cox of St Modwen, said: “We have firm interest in a number of units from local and regional firms. Centre 500 is prominently located adjacent to the A500 which has made the scheme popular to a wide cross-section of businesses  including Fyffes, CFM and Hoppecke.”

Centre 500 is a brownfield re-development site of approximately 20 acres formally owned by British Coal. St Modwen has already successfully constructed a series of speculative units totalling about 80,000 sq ft, which are fully occupied.

Louis Taylor is acting for St Modwen.
