St Modwen plans DIY-store in Runcorn

St Modwen Developments Ltd, the development subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, has secured outline planning consent for a new 2,601 sq m (28,000 sq ft) DIY-store at Runcorn. The site is in a prominent position fronting the Central Expressway, and is accessed directly via a new traffic light controlled junction.

Planning permission has been granted for a variety of uses including hotel, fast food, offices and petrol station.

St Modwen are in discussion with an operator for the DIY store which also includes a 929 sq m (10,000 sq ft) garden centre. Interest is strong in the remaining areas of the site.
