St Modwen pre-let at Catalyst industrial estate
Redman Heenan Properties Ltd, the investment subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, is to develop a 1,625 sq m (17,500 sq ft) repair and maintenance centre with ancillary service yard and lorry park on its Catalyst Industrial Estate, Widnes, for Perris and Kearon, a franchisee for ERF Trucks.
Perris and Kearon, which is relocating from Liverpool, has agreed to a 25-year lease at an initial rent of £99,000 a year rising to £114,000 at the fifth year review.
Detailed planning consent has now been granted and construction is to begin in June with completion scheduled for late this year. The company anticipate creating 50 new jobs for the area.
Michelle Taylor, regional director of St Modwen Developments, said: “We are delighted to have attracted Perris and Kearon to Catalyst as part of our regeneration of this former industrial complex. The planning application was dealt with very promptly by Halton Borough Council enabling an early start on site to be made.”
