St. Modwen is pressing ahead with its development at Great Western Business Park in Worcester, having secured the go-ahead for alterations to the 15,000 sq ft unit proposed for Hereford and Worcestershire Group Training Association (HWGTA).
HWGTA has been providing bespoke competence training and workplace qualifications for the manufacturing, processing, finance, legal and service sectors since 1967. Its new facility will enable the creation of up to 20 jobs – though this number is expected to grow rapidly.
HGWTA’s new base will be part of Great Western Business Park’s 65,000 sq ft third phase, which was granted planning permission by Worcester City Council earlier this year. This latest consent comes after St. Modwen applied for a variation to the planning permission to cater for HWGTA’s requirements.
Construction will begin in the next few weeks with the units due to complete early next year. Meanwhile, construction work is well underway at the park on a 13,600 sq ft bespoke warehouse for Travis Perkins.
Jonathan Green, senior development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “Securing planning permission for HWGTA reflects our ability and commitment to meet our occupiers’ needs.
“Work will commence shortly, and we look forward to handing over the completed units in early 2017. Great Western Business Park has always proved popular, and HWGTA will bring another dimension to the variety of tenants here.”
National and local businesses already taking advantage of Great Western Business Park’s prime location include Travis Perkins’ sister company, Benchmarx, car parts and accessories distributor Euro Car Parts, additive manufacturers Materials Solutions, vehicle and wearable technology distributor Nemesis GB, automotive parts distributor Andrew Page, self-storage company Storage King and Altaras International, providers of precision components.
Situated off Tolladine Road, Great Western Business Park is located half a mile from Worcester City Centre and offers easy access to Worcester city centre and J6 & 7 of the M5 corridor, which provides connections to M42 motorway. A secure managed estate, the development benefits from 24 hour CCTV monitoring and designated parking.
