ST. MODWEN REVEALS NEW KINGSGROVE PRIMARY SCHOOL
St. Modwen, the developer leading the new 227-acre Kingsgrove scheme, will be revealing the plans for the new primary school at an information event being held on Thursday 13 September 2018 between 3pm – 7pm at The Beacon, Portway, Wantage.
St. Modwen is delivering the new 2-form-entry primary school at Kingsgrove, Wantage in line with Oxfordshire County Council’s (OCC) requirements. OCC consulted on the new school in May 2018 and St. Modwen has since been working with the Council on the preliminary design and plans in order to submit a planning application for the new primary school this autumn.
The information event about the new Primary School will also include an update on the Kingsgrove project as a whole. Members of the project team will be on hand to talk through the application and answer any questions.

Subject to planning permission being granted, St. Modwen hopes to start building the primary school in March 2019 ,with completion and handover to OCC for fit out July 2020 and the school opening September 2020.
The 227-acre site was granted outline planning permission in July 2015 by the Vale of the White Horse Council District Council for up to 1,500 homes, a new primary school, a neighbourhood centre including pub/restaurant and local retail accommodation, sports pitches, employment space and community amenities set around a central park.
