St Modwen secures Telford’s largest industrial letting

Telford’s largest industrial letting – a 22,345 sq m (240,526 sq ft) high bay warehouse at Stafford Park 10, Telford, to Wincanton Holdings Ltd – has been secured by Redman Heenan Properties Ltd, the investment subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC.

Wincanton Holdings Limited has taken a five-year lease with a break penalty at a rental of £841,841 per annum on the large building which is undergoing a £2 million fast track refurbishment including exterior re-cladding, the installation of 15 dock level loading bays and a high-risk sprinkler system. The premises are located one mile from Junction 4 of the M54.

Andrew Dixon of letting agent Andrew Dixon & Co, said: “This is the largest ever open market letting of any industrial building in Telford.”

Alan Williams of St Modwen said: “We are delighted Wincanton selected our site against strong competition for this prestigious contract. This significant deal follows on the success of the letting of the 1,115 sq m (12,000 sq ft) offices building to Orix Investments and Development Capital Ltd. Two development sites now remain available.”
