ST. MODWEN SERVES UP STARBUCKS
International coffee shop Starbucks is the latest operator to join the line up in Farnborough town centre having opened its new 1,500 sq ft store last Sunday (26 May 2013).
The new café serves Starbuck’s renowned range of hot and cold drinks and snacks and trades alongside popular technology and entertainment retail and exchange outlet CeX, which opened a 1,500 sq ft store earlier this month (May).
The openings are part of St. Modwen’s, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist St. Modwen’s, multi-million pound scheme, which is transforming the town centre.
The project is bringing a range of new facilities and attractions including new shops as well as a seven screen VUE cinema, new restaurants and a fully refurbished multi-storey car park in the Kingsmead shopping centre, which is currently being part-refurbished.
James Stockdale, Development Surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “Starbucks is an incredibly popular operator, which has – until now – been missing from Farnborough town centre. We are delighted to announce that the store has now opened. We are close to completing another new letting on a double unit and we are now working hard to fill the last two remaining units in the scheme.”
The Starbucks opening tops off a busy month for St. Modwen in Farnborough. At the start of May work started on the part-refurbishment of the Kingsmead shopping centre to accommodate a seven-screen Vue cinema and restaurants, and marketing has now commenced on the new Centrus at the Meads apartments, which has received high initial interest from buyers.
