St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has agreed a ten-year lease to BJS Storage & Distribution Limited at Parkside Industrial Estate in Doncaster. The local logistics company which needed to expand its storage facilities, will move into a 160,000 sq ft building comprising three units, helping it fulfil its current needs and gear up for future expansion.

The deal comes hot on the heels of St. Modwen’s agreement with Plastech Limited, the first tenant to take space on the open storage compound within the estate, who recently signed a ten-year lease on a 1.5 acre plot.

Richard Bannister, Development Manager, at St. Modwen, comments: “Our 27 acre site, just off the A1(M), is fast becoming the new destination for Doncaster businesses looking for affordable, safe, and flexible storage. We are delighted that BJS Storage & Distribution has chosen Parkside as their new location. In just a short space of time we have let most of the existing space on site. We are now pressing ahead with our plans to create fully fenced, secured open storage compounds to provide flexible solutions for both national and local occupiers.”

Barry Sharp, Managing Director at BJS Storage & Distribution, said: “The location of Parkside was a key factor when choosing a new site as we needed good transport links. We have been very pleased with the service St. Modwen has provided throughout the move. They have taken a flexible and straightforward approach, which has led to a successful and quick conclusion of the legal documents.”

Since St. Modwen bought the 27 acre site in 2009, it has refurbished 240,000 sq ft of buildings which are now fully let. It has also demolished 360,000 sq ft of production buildings to create secure open storage space, nine acres of which is available to let on flexible terms.

Located in North Doncaster, Parkside Industrial Estate is adjacent to the A638, and just off the A1(M).
