St. Modwen strengthens with Senior Asset Manager hire

St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics has strengthened its team of experienced industry professionals in appointing a new Senior Asset Manager to work across its high-quality I&L portfolio.

Stuart Evans, who has more than 20 years’ experience in managing real estate portfolios, joins the developer’s dedicated industrial and logistics business unit from international manufacturer IMI PLC and will be based from St. Modwen’s Longbridge, Birmingham headquarters.

Evans has previously managed an extensive national and global portfolio specialising in industrial properties and officing. With more than 20 years’ experience as a chartered engineer, initially specialising in site services and manufacturing operations, Evans then transitioned into property, overseeing engineering and real estate projects on a global scale.

In his new role, Evans will work across St. Modwen’s industrial and logistics portfolio, attracting and retaining occupiers at some of the developer’s key schemes; including Watling Street Business Park (Cannock), Bestwood Business Park (Nottingham), Warth Industrial Park (Bury), Moorgate Point (Knowsley) and St. Modwen Park Speke (Liverpool).

Evans’ appointment signifies St. Modwen’s continued commitment to leasing high-quality commercial space for current and prospective occupiers in an ever-growing sector and comes after announcing that the developer’s industrial and logistics assets now form 44% of its portfolio.

Stuart Evans, Senior Asset Manager at St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics, said:

“I hope my familiarity with leasing high-quality industrial schemes will allow us to retain and secure some class-leading occupiers. St. Modwen’s dedicated business unit is delivering at pace, so it’s essential that the asset management team continues to add to an already impressive portfolio of customers.”

Jonathan Green, Asset Management Director at St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics, added:

“We aim to bring the very best talent to St. Modwen and allow professionals of Stuart’s calibre to thrive with us. His wealth of experience and unique insight from an occupier’s perspective will help us better optimise our industrial and logistics portfolio. His extensive knowledge in managing industrial real estate will allow us to both deepen our existing occupier relationships and attract new, leading businesses to our schemes.”
