ST. MODWEN SUBMITS PLANS FOR OVER 850,000 SQ FT OF COMMERCIAL SPACE

Expert developer and regeneration specialist St. Modwen has submitted reserved matters for 879,000 sq ft of commercial space across three of its key Midland sites.

This forms part of its 1.8m sq ft committed development pipeline for 2018 and furthers the developer’s progress in one of its key sectors in the UK property market – high quality industrial and logistics projects.

St. Modwen has submitted plans for a further 478,000 sq ft at Tamworth Logistics Park, with the intention of creating up to five units.  Construction has started on Phase One of the development, which includes the creation of three units, the largest being 50,000 sq ft, and is set for completion next summer (2019).

Reserved matters have also been submitted for 336,000 sq ft of commercial space at St.Modwen’s Uttoxeter Gateway site, for a range of units up to 136,000 sq ft.

At Hilton Business Park, planning has been submitted for 65,000 sq ft, with a proposed further phase of 80,000 sq ft on a design and build basis.

Gregg Titley, Development Director at St. Modwen, said: “There’s a clear lack of supply for commercial space in the region and Tamworth Logistics Park, Uttoxeter Gateway and Hilton Business Park all present fantastic opportunities to develop large warehouses that are located near to key arterial routes.

“These developments are in line with St. Modwen’s strategy to identify and develop well-connected areas in the Midlands, promoting inward investment, creating jobs and attracting key businesses.”
