St. Modwen takes steps to achieve early careers ambitions

As part of its ambition to develop the next generation of skilled talent, St. Modwen is taking part in two inspiring initiatives, the government-funded Kickstart Scheme and the Stoke & Staffordshire Careers Hub Cornerstone Employer Group, both aimed at creating employment opportunities and career experiences for young people.

St. Modwen is utilising the Kickstart scheme to create exciting new roles within its housebuilding arm, St. Modwen Homes, offering aspiring individuals fully-funded placements to gain valuable, hands-on experience of working within the construction industry. The opportunities will provide the chance to earn a real living whist gaining skills to develop into a promising career within the sector.

Similarly, the Stoke & Staffordshire Cornerstone Employer Group’s purpose is to support schools, colleges and young people in their area to enable careers through skills training, advice and work experience opportunities. Through St. Modwen’s new partnership with The Careers & Enterprise Company – the organisation behind these cornerstone groups – it is able to provide volunteering, school visits, work experience, careers advice and much more to young people across Stoke and Staffordshire.

These contributions form part of St. Modwen’s Education & Future Skills ambitions, through which it aims to create a positive impact on over 20,000 young people by 2025.
