ST MODWEN TEAM TO SCALE THE HEIGHTS FOR STOKE HOSPICE
St Modwen’s North Staffordshire office has put forward a team to undertake the Three Peaks Challenge, in aid of the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice, Stoke-on-Trent.
The team, led by Mike Herbert, the company’s North Staffordshire regional director, will begin the 24-hour climbing challenge next Saturday afternoon and will start with Ben Nevis, followed by Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon.
Mike Herbert, with development manager Euan Lindsay, will be accompanied by Mike’s daughter Angharad and her friend Natalie who are both fourth-year medical students, and Alex Lucyk. In support of the challenge, Mercedes Benz of Stoke have loaned a luxury people carrier for Mike’s PA, Tracey Lucyk, to drive the team on the 500 mile journey.
Mike says: “I have been interested in and supported the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice for a number of years and St Modwen assisted in acquiring a site for the hospice which is the only one for Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
“We have already raised over £1,500 and are hoping we will exceed our target of £2,000. Although none of us are super fit, we have all been in training to prepare us for the arduous climb.”
