ST. MODWEN TO DEVELOP NEW 127,000 SQ FT FACILITY FOR SIEMENS, LINCOLN

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, is in detailed discussions with Siemens to develop a new 127,000 sq ft facility for the company in Lincoln. Siemens plans to move from its current premises, owned by St. Modwen, to the preferred location of Teal Park on the outskirts of the City.

The service business together with Siemens other operations in Lincoln have experienced a record order year. The proposed move will capitalise on this success and represents a significant new investment in the Lincoln business to facilitate future growth and expansion.

Siemens’ service business employs around 540 people in Lincoln and the project would consolidate the service activities into the new location. The site will also have the capability to accommodate future expansion to both the office and workshop facilities.

Stephen Prosser, regional director, St. Modwen comments:

“We have spent a considerable amount of time working with Siemens to understand their expectations with regard to their new facility and we now look forward to continuing this relationship and working closely with them with respect to delivering the new premises at their chosen location.”

Building works are expected to commence in mid-2011 and the projected completion date is targeted for summer 2012.
