ST. MODWEN TO HOLD PUBLIC CONSULTATION INTO DEVELOPMENT OF FORMER MoD SITE AT HILTON

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, is to hold a public consultation on its plans to create a mixed use development on the former Ministry of Defence site adjacent to The Mease, at Hilton, South Derbyshire.

Proposals for the site include the construction of a new primary school, together with residential and employment development. St. Modwen also plans to deliver enhanced public realm and create public access to existing woodland.

The public consultation will be held on Wednesday 20th November between 3pm – 6.30pm at Hilton Village Hall, Peacroft Lane, Hilton, DE65 5GH.

Residents and interested parties will be able to view an exhibition of the proposed development and provide feedback to members of the St. Modwen project team, who will be on hand to answer any questions.

Richard Hickman, planning manager at St. Modwen, said: “The proposals comprise a carefully considered mix of uses and will see the delivery of a much needed new primary school at the start of the development.

“Consulting with the public is an important part of the planning process. We would like local residents to attend this consultation and give us their comments and feedback on the proposals for the site, prior to our submission of a planning application to South Derbyshire District Council.”
