ST. MODWEN TO HOLD PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON CLAYS LANE DEVELOPMENT

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, is to hold a public consultation on its plans to create a new sports pavilion and enhanced outdoor play facilities at Clays Lane in Branston.

The event is due to take place on Wednesday 14th May, between 4pm-8pm at St. Saviours Scout Hut, Main Street, Branston, DE14 3EY. It will give local residents and interested parties the opportunity to view the plans and comment.

The proposed pavilion on Clays Lane will form part of St. Modwen’s proposals to enhance the Park area, incorporating a new play area and creating a designated sports pavilion, for use by local sports teams.

The pavilion will include changing rooms, comprising toilet and shower facilities, a communal committee style meeting room, kitchen, disabled WC and an officials room. Improvements to the outside space at Clays Lane will deliver a football pitch, an under-5s children’s play area and car parking.

Ian Romano, senior development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “We’re pleased to be bringing forward our proposals for improvements to the sports and outdoor provision at Clays Lane in Branston. This is a significant community development that will provide a modern facility for use by local sports clubs.

“Consulting with the public is an important part of the planning process and we would like local residents and interested parties to attend this consultation to give us their comments and feedback on the proposals, prior to us submitting a planning application.”
