ST. MODWEN UNVEILS PLANS FOR NEW EMPLOYMENT ACCOMMODATION AT GREAT WESTERN BUSINESS PARK IN WORCESTER

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has submitted plans to create a range of new warehouse and light industrial units at Great Western Business Park in Worcester.

The new units will form part of the second phase of development at the Park that will also be the home of a new, purpose built facility for Hereford & Worcester Fire Service Authority, which received planning permission in September 2013 and is set for construction later this year.

The proposals for a range of B1, B2 and B8 light industrial and warehouse units aim to complement existing accommodation and satisfy an appetite for space at the popular Great Western Business Park. The six units will range from 3,500 to 5,500 sq ft with a total area of 25,000 sq ft.

The site is located within two miles of Junction 6 of the M5 motorway on a prominent brownfield development east of Worcester city centre.

Jonathan Green, development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “We’re pleased to have submitted a planning application to Worcester City Council in connection with the second phase of proposed development at Great Western Business Park.

“We are seeing increased demand from occupiers for modern, high quality, well located accommodation that offers flexible space. These new units will help meet current and future tenant demand and add to the existing reputation of Great Western Business Park as a prime location for business.”

Subject to planning permission, work is expected to begin on the development of the unit later in 2014, with completion expected by the end of the year.
