St Modwen Developments Ltd, the development subsidiary of St Modwen Properties PLC, has been granted outline planning consent for the development of more than half a million sq ft of new distribution facilities at Quedgeley, Gloucester.
The consent allows for the former Ministry of Defence buildings on the 32 acre site, Quedgeley West, to be demolished to make way for the 530,000 sq ft of new accommodation which will provide units ranging from 25,000 sq ft to 350,000 sq ft built to occupier’s requirements.
Currently there is 285,000 sq ft of buldings let on a short term basis for warehousing.
Rupert Joseland of St Modwen said: “The opening up of Junction 12 to an all movements junction has clearly improved this location as a distribution centre and we are seeking occupiers on a freehold or leasehold basis.
