Stoke-on-Trent regeneration sign-up Pets at Home for Trentham Lakes

Trentham Lakes, one of the principal brownfield mixed-use regeneration developments in the Midlands, has secured Pets At Home to take a 14,121 sq m (152,000 sq ft) national distribution centre on the 400-acre strategically located Stoke-on-Trent site.

Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration Ltd, the joint venture vehicle of St Modwen Properties PLC and Stoke City Council, which is developing Trentham Lakes, has let the new centre on a 20-year lease at an initial annual rent of more than £560,000.

Pets At Home is the third major logistics facility on the development which has also attracted call centre, manufacturing, car showroom, leisure and sports operators. Daniel & Hulme and Insignia Richard Ellis acted for Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration.

Trentham Lakes is a £175 million mixed-use development of 400 acres of brownfield land, formerly the Hem Heath Colliery.

The present occupiers include H W Plastics (178,000 sq ft distribution centre), Remploy (65,812 sq ft manufacturing), Firmin Coates Ltd (54,400 sq ft warehouse and distribution centre),CFM Kinder (51,600 sq ft manufacturing), Auto Direct (36,750 sq ft call centre), 123-bedroom Holiday Inn Express hotel, and Greens Health & Fitness Club, Power Leagues 5-a-side football facility and Stoke City Football Club at Britannia Stadium, and an indoor training facility.
