The Mead scheme Underway

Key Property Investments, the joint venture between St Modwen Properties PLC and Salhia Real Estate Co., has received confirmation from the Government Office for the South East that The Mead development in Farnborough town centre can proceed.

Notice has been served on existing tenants whom Key Property Investments is looking to relocate, and enabling works such as service diversions will begin prior to the demolition of existing shops in August.

JJB Sports has pre-let more than 50 per cent of the space and discussions are well advanced for the remaining seven retail units.

Simon Rutter of St Modwen, said: “This is a significant step forward in the proposals for the town centre. This will enable us to relocate a number of key tenants and release areas for much larger development proposals.”
