TRENTHAM MANOR UP FOR NATIONAL AWARD
A local housing development has been recognised as one of the best examples of regeneration in the UK.
Trentham Manor, located off Stanley Matthews Way, has been named one of the five most successful regeneration projects in this year’s Housebuilder Awards and is the only development in the Midlands to be named. The other finalists include two developments in London, one in Edinburgh and one in Penarth, Wales.
St. Modwen Homes was celebrated for its commitment to the local community, its house designs and quality of build; all of which have helped transform the former site of Hem Heath Colliery into a desirable place to live.
Dave Smith, Managing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Being shortlisted in the regeneration category of this year’s Housebuilder Awards is testament to the expertise, experience and enthusiasm within the team.
“Brownfield sites are often regarded as less desirable places to build as they can require a higher level of work prior to build commencing. At St. Modwen Homes however, we see great value in bringing these areas back to life. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the transformation at Trentham Manor and receive positive feedback from our new homeowners; particularly those who have lived in the area all their life and know first-hand just how much the site has changed.
“It’s great news to hear that we’ve been shortlisted in this year’s Housebuilder Awards, cementing St. Modwen Homes’ position as a quality and reliable housebuilder.”
St. Modwen Homes has received extremely positive feedback with regards to its new homes at Trentham Manor, with 100% of purchasers stating that they would recommend the housebuilder to a friend. In addition to the 132 homes that are being built, St. Modwen Homes has also delivered a new play area at the development.
As well as being shortlisted for the Best Regeneration Category of the Housebuilder Awards, St. Modwen Homes is a finalist for the Best Training or Recruitment Initiative thanks to the launch of its trainee scheme and commitment to increasing the number of apprentices at its developments. Trainees now account for 12% of St. Modwen Homes’ workforce and apprentices have increased by 10%.
The Housebuilder Awards are held in partnership with the NHBC (National House Building Council) and HBF (Home Builders Federation) and recognise best practice across the industry. The winners of the awards will be announced in November.
Located just five miles from the centre of Stoke-on-Trent, Trentham Manor currently offers a range of three and four bedroom houses, with prices starting from just £184,995 for a three bedroom terrace property.
