TRENTHAM RETAIL VILLAGE DOUBLES IN SIZE
Thirty-one more shops and food and beverage outlets in the popular Trentham Retail Village in North Staffordshire will be completed and opening during August.
This latest phase of development will more than double the capacity of the Retail Village which weekly is attracting thousands of people to the 750-acre visitor destination operated by Trentham Leisure, a joint venture between St Modwen Properties PLC and Mr Willi Reitz, a German
wine and leisure entrepreneur.
Additional car and coach parking facilities and public utilities are also being provided as the number of visitors to the popular attraction rises.
Mike Herbert, St Modwen’s regional director in charge of the development of Trentham, said: “Virtually every one of the new units is under offer and businesses will be moving in and trading during August.
“There is very strong interest from local and national companies, broadening the range of the retail ‘offer’ at Trentham while staying within the ethos of a tourist and visitor destination.”
New units include outdoor adventure clothing and equipment, pottery, a wide range of giftware, golf clothing, floristry and ethnic goods together with food outlets, ice cream and coffee lounges.
Twenty-six high quality specialist shops and restaurants are currently trading in the Retail Village which last year attracted more than 1.8 million visitors and is expected to welcome more than three million in 2006.
