Unity House plans to be reviewed

St Modwen Developments Ltd has agreed with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to shelve its plans for the redevelopment of Unity House, Stoke-on-Trent, to allow larger regeneration plans to be considered.

This is part of the emerging strategy to upgrade the city centre backed by the designation of Hanley as a Priority Investment Area in the North Staffordshire Regeneration Zone.

It is understood that the council will now be reviewing the regeneration of all the wider area around Unity House.

Mike Herbert, Director of St Modwen Developments, said: “Whilst we are disappointed not to be proceeding now with the Unity House scheme, we understand and support the council’s aspirations to improve the city centre.”
