WEMBLEY CENTRAL WELCOMES THE PERFUME SHOP, WENZEL’S & EXPLORE LEARNING

The Perfume Shop, Wenzel’s and Explore Learning are the latest names to join the line up at Wembley Central for the final phase of St. Modwen’s £90 million town centre redevelopment.

The Perfume Shop, which has over 250 stores across the UK and Ireland, has signed up for a 950 sq ft store in a prime pitch adjacent to the new entrance to Wembley Central station next autumn.  North West London bakery chain Wenzel’s will open a 980 sq ft store around the same time as part of the company’s wider expansion plans.

Explore Learning, a fast-growing chain of children’s education centres offering English, maths and science tuition up to GCSE level, has signed up for a 2,000 sq ft unit in the newly developed central building which is due to be completed this summer.

Killian Morris, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen, said: “We’re pleased to be kicking off the New Year with this exciting news for Wembley Central.

“The Perfume Shop in particular is a very attractive brand to add to the existing retail offer and shows how our investment in regeneration is widening the appeal of Wembley town centre to national retailers.

“Explore Learning complements our vision to create a truly multi-purpose centre offering a range of retail, leisure and community facilities.”

These new brands join established retailers including Tesco, Iceland and TK Maxx which are already trading.  Costa, Argos and an 86-bedroom Travelodge hotel will also open in the new development this year.

St. Modwen’s redevelopment of Wembley Central includes a new public square, new train station entrance, fully refurbished multi-storey car park, gym facilities and more than 200 new homes.  The construction of the final phase is well underway and will be completed in late summer 2014.
