A local junior football club has secured a new sponsorship deal with award-winning housebuilder, St. Modwen Homes.

The housebuilder will support the under 16s team of the Weston Crusaders for the next 12 months, providing new tracksuits for all 16 members of the squad.

Mark Neal, Manager of Weston Crusaders under 16’s, said: “Sponsorship plays a major part in being able to provide local teenagers with grass roots football, not only do they benefit from the football coaching on offer, but it also assists them in keeping fit and healthy whilst building confidence and friendships. It’s great to be able to kick off the football season with a new sponsor on board.

“Without sponsorship, we simply wouldn’t be able to provide these opportunities. We are excited to move forward with St. Modwen Homes, and thank them immensely for taking an interest and investing into this local junior football club”

The Weston Crusaders football club, which was formed in 1979, trains at the Baytree recreation ground in Weston-super-Mare provides opportunities for local children to play football from ages U7s to U16s.

Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing Director at St. Modwen Homes said: “Many of our new homeowners at Locking Parklands play in local football teams, including Weston Crusaders, so it is only fitting that we support these activities. I’m sure they’re going to have a great season and we will be 100% behind them in all their upcoming games.”

Located just four miles from Weston-super-Mare, Locking Parklands offers a range of four and five bedroom homes starting at £353,995 for a stunning four bedroom family home. The new homes are part of a wider development that will provide a range of community facilities including retail space, a library and a school when complete.

Bev continued: “One of the things that sets Locking Parklands apart from other developments is the great community spirit amongst residents. We believe this is one of the most important factors when choosing a new home so we’re always looking for ways to bring the community together, whether that’s through charity coffee mornings, football matches or events with local schools.”
