WORK NOW UNDERWAY TO EXTEND CENTURION PARK
Work has commenced to extend Centurion Park in Tamworth the popular industrial and distribution site owned by St. Modwen.
Groundworks are now underway to prepare the site for a new 52,500sq ft high quality industrial unit. Planning has also been granted for another unit, sized at 157,000sq ft.
The new unit will come with associated services, parking and offices and will extend one of the regions’ most popular industrial parks which has, until now, been fully let due to its superb location adjacent to junction ten of the M42.
Jonathan Green, development surveyor at St. Modwen, said: “We have taken many enquiries since we first announced our plans to extend Centurion Park. With unrivalled transport links, it is one of the most sought after locations in the Midlands region and continues to attract high levels of interest both from existing tenants looking to expand and from new tenants looking for a well-positioned Midlands base.”
North Warwickshire Borough Council granted approval for the 20 acre development earlier this year in order to help deliver more employment opportunities to the region. It is anticipated up to 260 people could be employed in the new sheds.
With groundworks now underway, St. Modwen estimate construction work could start as early as next month on the speculative unit, in order for it to be ready for occupation by August 2016.
Existing tenants at Centurion Park include Speedy Hire, Aldi, Norbert Dentressangle and AAH Pharmaceuticals.
